Intelesens live on BBC
Intelesens features on live BBC national TV
On Thursday September 23 Intelesens CEO Michael Caulfield and CTO and Founder Professor John Anderson were featured live on BBC discussing Intelesens's remote wireless vital signs technology. Interviewed by BBC's Rory Cellan-Jones who was wearing one of the company's cardiac arrhythmia detection monitors, Michael Caulfield firstly explained the advantages to the patient coming from this world leading technology but also pointed out the economic and financial benefits accruing to the healthcare provider, who can diagnose and manage patients in their own homes thereby avoiding costly inpatient and outpatient visits and treatments. The ability to discharge patients earlier from inpatient care is another cost saving opportunity. Professor Anderson used an iPad to view Rory's cardiac data transmitted wirelessly to Intelesens's server and was able to confirm that Rory's ecg waveform indicated good health!
