Wearable wireless Holter
Intelesens unveils new wearable wireless Holter feature at Medica 2010 in Dusseldorf
Intelesens, who has already developed wearable wireless vital signs monitoring devices for both home use, the V-Patch Cardiac Event Monitor and Aingeal, its in-hospital multi-parameter wi-fi monitor, will unveil its Inteleholter device designed to provide not only exceptional event detection and alerts but which is also capable of measuring and recording full 3-lead ecg waveform data over a monitoring period of 168 hours (7 days).
The miniaturised device which clips on to a disposable adhesive electrode patch will monitor for lethal arrhythmias and other out of normal events, transmitting information wirelessly to a remote pc. During the 7-day monitoring session, the new device will also be capable of recording full interpretive 3-lead ecg data for later download and analysis by a cardiologist or for submission to holter analysis software.
This important new feature is expected to have CE regulatory approval this year and FDA approval during 2011.
