US Technology Award

Belfast-based wireless health monitoring company, Intelesens, scooped the prestigious Most Promising Technology Award at the 4th Annual Silicon Valley Technology Leaders Awards held last night in San Jose CA and hosted by ITLG and ex-Intel Chairman Craig Barrett. This year's annual event was attended by some of the world's leading technology companies including Apple, Microsoft, Google, Logitech, Adobe, Symantec and Motorola and top investment companies such as Kleiner, Perkins, Caulfield & Byers, Irish Technology Capital, Voyager Capital and Silicon Valley Bank.

Intelesens CEO Michael Caulfield was presented with the Most Promising Technology trophy by Craig Barrett and ITLG Founder John Hartnett. In accepting the award Caulfield paid tribute to his young and talented team of engineers and professionals back in Belfast and made special mention of Intelesens founder Professor John Anderson who has led the development of the unique technologies deployed in Intelesens products. Intelesens monitoring devices have already received European regulatory approval (CE) and expect approval for sale in the US from the FDA authorities later this year.
